Ade Damayanti (Damay), an empowerment leader and podcast producer, values learning through meeting new friends. Since 2015, she's played a key role in Indonesia's energy movement, emphasizing renewable energy sustainability and community empowerment. In the past five years, she has tirelessly explored remote areas across Indonesian islands, such as Sumatera, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and East Nusa. These places often lack basic amenities like electricity and phone signals. Her journeys have led her through challenging terrains, including damaged roads and dense forests. Her efforts align with SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 13: Climate Action, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, across remote Indonesian islands. As a UPG Sustainability Leader and Ubuntu Leader, she's dedicated to global sustainability and positive change.

Through the OMLAS project, she aims to implement a zero-waste lifestyle among Indonesian youth, tracking plastic usage and reduction efforts on a weekly and monthly basis. Participants of this project will share their daily routines to inspire others. Additionally, she will organize educational workshops on sustainable living practices and promote eco-friendly alternatives to single-use plastics through social media campaigns. The project will be located in a community in Indonesia and will target SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 13: Climate Action.

Her OMLAS experience:
"The OMLAS Fellowship provided an enriching experience, deepening my understanding of SDGs. It equipped me with transformative leadership skills, fostering the ability to drive impactful change. I gained valuable insights into the leadership journey and emerged prepared to lead teams effectively, fostering champions to tackle challenges collaboratively."
