Ashiq Rahman, a first-year undergraduate student, actively participated in clubs and extracurricular activities throughout his senior years of high school and college. He enthusiastically embraces new opportunities to gain diverse experiences and broaden his horizons across various fields. Traveling, reading, exploring cultures, and meeting new people are among his passions. He holds a particular fascination with foreign cultures, lifestyles, and languages. He eagerly anticipates connecting with others to share experiences and learn from their perspectives.
Project Idea: OMLAS is training its participants to become future leaders of Asia. As a trainee himself, he seeks to contribute his vision. Education is a core area of his focus, particularly in his home country, where it remains a neglected sector for a significant portion of the population facing financial constraints. His program aims to address this gap by providing access to primary education for children. Additionally, he plans to incorporate young adults, dropouts, and anyone motivated to learn, regardless of age. Furthermore, Ashiq recognizes the world's degradation due to human activity. To address this, he envisions a team of climate educators. This team will undergo comprehensive training on climate change and adaptation strategies before engaging in educational outreach. They will focus on students in schools and colleges, recognizing them as future leaders and changemakers who need to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to navigate the challenges ahead.
OMLAS Experience: “OMLAS has been a wonderful journey for me so far. I have gained immense knowledge and identified areas for personal improvement. Connecting with people from all over the world has enriched me tremendously. I have learned from their stories, experiences, and diverse perspectives, which have inspired me to think bigger. I express my gratitude to the OMLAS team for this incredible opportunity.”
