Deepshikha is a Climate Action Enthusiast, currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. Actively engaged in campaigning and advocating for sustainable practices, she stands as an active youth dedicated to helping her country achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and tackle climate crises.
OMLAS Project: Empowering Rural Women for Climate Action As an OMLAS fellow, Deepshikha's project aims to empower rural women in agriculture-dependent communities to address eco-anxiety and climate change. Through research, education, awareness-raising, and community action, she aims to equip women with knowledge, skills, and support to foster sustainable practices and resilience at both individual and community levels. The project location is planned for one of the rural areas in Nepal. Through her project, she will be contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4: Quality Education, SDGs 5: Gender Equality, SDGs 13: Climate Action, and SDGs 15: Life on Land.
