Marwa Alam Safa is an environmentalist and climate activist from Afghanistan. She graduated from Kabul University with a degree in environmental science and founded the Climate and Environment Youth Initiative. Currently, she works as the National Climate Adaptation Officer at Aga Khan Foundation. She also volunteers with organizations like YOUNGO, Eco_Climate Vision, and Unisfere, actively contributing to environmental and climate causes.

The proposed OMLAS Project "ClimateWise project" focuses on climate literacy among Afghan youth, aiming to address the knowledge gap regarding climate change in Afghanistan. Through online training programs led by renowned climate experts, Marwa will provide comprehensive education on the impact of climate change and empower participants to take action. By targeting SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 13 (Climate Action), she aims to promote climate awareness and equality. Through this initiative, Marwa wants to inspire and equip Afghan youth to become climate change champions, fostering a sustainable future for Afghanistan and beyond.
