OMLAS Experience: “Being selected as one of the 150 fellows for the prestigious OMLAS 2025 cohort has been a truly transformative experience for me. It was not just an honor, but a turning point in my leadership journey. The fellowship provided a platform that empowered me to reflect deeply on my purpose, enhance my leadership mindset, and take action with greater impact and empathy.
Among the many enriching sessions, the ones on Transformational Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship stood out the most. Through Transformational Leadership, I gained a profound understanding of how to lead by influence rather than authority inspiring others through vision, integrity, and emotional intelligence. I learned the importance of value-based leadership, active listening, and creating a sense of shared purpose within a team or community.
The session on Social Entrepreneurship equipped me with a clear framework for identifying problems, designing human-centered solutions, and sustaining impact through innovation and scalability. It helped me connect my passion with purpose in a more structured way.
I actively applied these lessons in leading my initiative, AGHAAZ, which aims to promote digital literacy and awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in under-resourced communities. These sessions not only strengthened my decision-making and team management but also enhanced the way I approach problem-solving and community engagement.
OMLAS didn’t just teach me about leadership it shaped me into a leader who is self-aware, socially conscious, and committed to driving positive change.”
