Omlas Project : Nooren’s aim is to work on two main themes; “Women's financial independence and Education for all”.
1. She is super excited to share that she is planning to open a canteen run entirely by women for university students. These women are from underprivileged and need financial support to manage their pocket money and finances. Her goal is to promote financial independence among women and bring innovation to the food sector in Gilgit. It's surprising that there isn't a single women-run canteen in the area yet.
2. She envisions a fusion of western clothing with our rich local embroidery tradition. Picture this: panda and other unique handcrafted embroideries adorning shirts and pants. It's going to be a women-led enterprise, adding another layer of empowerment to the mix. Through this venture, they're not just creating stunning fashion pieces, but also promoting cultural diversity and enhancing women's financial independence. It's about blending traditions with modernity and making a statement that celebrates both creativity and empowerment.
OMLAS Experience: “Being part of the OMLAS Fellowship is amazing! I'm constantly learning new things and meeting people from all over the world. We share ideas, inspire each other, and work together to make a real difference. It's exciting to be part of a community that's shaping a brighter future"
