As a Hydrologist and Flood Risk Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the water sector, he has contributed to numerous national and international projects worldwide.
OMLAS Project Idea 1: “EcoNAS Circle”, is a Capacity Building Platform for Nurturing Future Afghan Leaders. This initiative aims to address sustainability education and awareness among Afghan youth by providing a digital platform offering various environment-related educational resources such as workshops, webinars, animations, podcasts, and climate-related stories. The EcoNAS Circle will serve as a primary social media platform for discussing environmental crises and solutions, connecting individuals interested in solving environmental problems in Afghanistan. Targeted SDGs include SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 6: Clean Water & Sanitation, SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 17: Partnerships for Goals
OMLAS Project Idea 2: “Catch Each Drop”, it is a Community-based Integrated Watershed Management Planning initiative. This project addresses challenges such as low water availability, rapid groundwater depletion, flooding downstream, soil erosion, and sedimentation in dams by implementing integrated watershed management and rainwater harvesting techniques. Involving local communities in planning, implementation, and maintenance, Catch Each Drop aims to enhance water security, support agricultural livelihoods, and promote ecosystem health in vulnerable regions of Afghanistan. Targeted SDGs include SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 2: Zero Hunger, SDG 6: Clean Water & Sanitation, SDG 13: Climate Action, and SDG 15: Life on Land.
