PROJECT STITCHING WINGS

Empowering Women, Transforming Lives Through Skillful Threads

PROJECT GOAL

We aim to empower unemployed young women and provide them with assistance in achieving financial, social, and personal independence through stitching skills.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Gilgit Baltistan, located in the northern region of Pakistan, faces economic challenges due to its remote location and limited access to markets. Unfortunately, women are disproportionately affected by this situation, as they often face significant obstacles in securing employment. The lack of job opportunities exacerbates gender inequality and restricts women's economic participation and empowerment. Recognizing the power of determined women in the area, we aim to empower these women by establishing a stitching center where they can learn and practice their stitching skills. The project aims in providing them with the necessary skills and opportunities, to help them become financially independent, contribute to the local economy, and enhance their overall well-being. The stitching project embodies the spirit of women's empowerment and societal development. This initiative aims to create opportunities for them to rise, improve their livelihoods, and contribute to the progress of Gilgit Baltistan.
