Susmita Bhandari is a 22-year-old youth currently pursuing a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry at Agriculture and Forestry University, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. She is deeply passionate to work on One Health Approaches prioritizing Zoonotic Diseases and Anti-microbial Resistance and advocating for climate actions, human rights, and gender equality.
OMLAS Experience: “I am very happy to be the OMLAS Fellow representing Nepal for 2025. OMLAS journey sharpened my knowledge and understanding on leadership system, sustainability and social entrepreneurship, enhanced my communication skills through coaching and mentorship, explored my inner queries practicing in miroboard, connecting and talking with like minded amazing individual and personalities in break out sessions. Further, this fellowship encourages me to lead and empower the Champions of my community and motivates me to engage in community project and aware the community people on environmental conservation, climate resilience, animal health and welfare and integrate it with One Health principle.”
